Hospitals and medical practices use AC-STB for documenting therapy progress with validated surveys like the pain questionnaire of the Deutsche Gesellschaft zum Studium des Schmerzes (DGSS).

Pain networks also use AC-STB for quality assurance, benchmarking and network-wide studies.
